The molly are small tropical fish that come in a wide range of colors. They are very popular for managers at any level aquarium fish and some of the most popular varieties are the Dalmatian molly fish and puffer fish molly . If you are interested to breed molly fish , you should be able to distinguish between male and female molly fish because it is essential . Even if you do not want to breed them , you should know the difference between males and females , once you know what to look for, it is easy to differentiate .
This is Molly fish , an Amazonian species, only females , and yet has no problem playback with interesting techniques .

Like other asexual species reproduces by gynogenesis Molly , where the offspring are clones of the mother, ie born without father's DNA.

Strange to say, the fish Molly has a kind of hermaphroditism , as scientists have noted that the fish interact with other species to reproduce. That if only the males have the function of activating their eggs, but do not deposit their sperm , so the female does all the work .

Name: Molly Black

Name: Molly Black
Scientific name : Poecilia hybrid
Species: ovoviviparous
How often live ?
Three to four years on average, although there is evidence of copies that have survived longer.
What do you need?
Own:
Require large minimum 60 l aquaria with large , richly planted in quantity and variety , with medium hardness water at high average 15-25 DH and frankly slightly alkaline to alkaline pH of 7-8.2 clearances . The temperature may range from 22 to 28 C , optimally 24 to 25 C. They prefer well-lit and free of sharp rocks decor .
feeding
Omnivorous and varied, must include dry food, flake -based live daphnia and brine shrimp and a significant proportion of plant food : shredded seaweed , spinach and mashed boiled and reduced to lettuce, etc. .
Character and behavior
Peaceful and sociable , can live together with other related species such as swordtails , guppies, platys , etc . , But require for their extreme mobility and large open spaces and separate amphitheatres configured by a luxuriant underwater vegetation .
What care needs ?
Common to all tropical aquarium fish. You should periodically siphoned the aquarium , renewing every month one tenth of the total liquid to prevent acidification .
How to play?
Ovoviviparous fish , females retain the eggs in her abdomen ' calving ' fry sometimes born without fully consumed the yolk sac . Cannibalism , very frequent , can be avoided by isolating females filled in densely populated aquariums submerged and floating plants . The best results are obtained by isolating the most beautiful male in the collection with four to six females in a 90 l container , full of lush greenery. Each female bearing 6 to 40 fry time.
What diseases can have?
They are especially sensitive to white point , tuberculosis and certain tumors that raise the scales , producing sharp bumps look. They live long without problems in hard water and some brackish . In depth are unknown mechanisms governing irregular periods of ' gestation ' of the females of this species.

Nombre: Molly Negro
